MAP Journaling
What's journaling all about?
Through journaling, you can make the most of your daily Bible reading devotional time. You jot down what you think God has spoken to you during your reading time. God speaks to you. Why not recording it?
MAP method
If you don't have your own way of journaling, follow this MAP method. It is very simple and you can finish it within 10 minutes everyday.
Open up your journal notebook and write down...
Date
Don't forget to write down the date! You will know how God will guide you by coming back to today's page!
Today's Key Verse
Don't choose too many verses. Write down just a verse or two. Focus on the verses God has shown you. Focus is more important than quantity.
M : Meditation
You deeply and intensely think about the verses God has shown you. Meditation is not all about making your brain empty. It is about filling your mind with God's word. Come up with some things God has taught you today and jot them down. What did you learn from today's bible verses?
A : Action
Listening is one thing but taking actions on the basis of what you have learned is another thing. Practicing the word of God is the key to spiritual growth. What are you going to do about what you learned from today's key verses just now? Write it down and get ready to take the actions!
P : Prayer
Write down a simple prayer like you send a text message to God. Be honest and humble. Be real.
